What is the most important thing to your family?

The other day I was visiting with a friend and she asked me, as a mother of a very young and active brood, could she pick my brain? Flattered, I consented to help however I could. "What tips do you have for me?" she asked. "What is the most important thing you have learned in raising all those kids? I mean, you've home schooled them all, and for goodness sakes, nine of them! They look like they're doing well. Let me learn from you. What is the most important thing I can do?" Smiling inside, I realized that the old Indian saying, "Don't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his mocassins." applied here. If she only knew all the mistakes I had made! All the things I neglected or chose badly! Ah, well. But, prayerfully considering, I tried to give her quick counsel while we carried one little body away from the curb and picked up toast for another urchin's breakfast.
